1958 Pontiac Chieftain
Chieftains went through a major styling change in 1958. All models were give honeycomb grilles, quad head and tail lamps, concave rear fenders, and longer, lower lines. The Super Chief sub-series was promoted to full model status leaving just the standard array of Chieftains as the entry level Pontiac. As in years past, the V8 engine was enlarged. For 1958 it grew to 370 Cubic Inch and made 270 horsepower.
The 1958 models were the last Chieftains to be produced. It was replaced with the all-new Catalina in 1959.
Started life as a California Car and was brought to MI by the original owner’s daughter two years ago, where she was stored until we found her. So she does not have all the rust you find with Midwest cars. Body and frame very solid with just surface rust. A real solid driver and rare body style as they only used this body for one year only. Runs and drive great, just completed a 200 mile trip with no problems. Truck lid has dent where the Original owners son used a truck to load her in California. Dent in Drivers side chrome on front fender.
370 Cubic Inch V8 (Runs Great with lots of power)
