Antique 1920s Blatz Beer Wooden Box/Crate! This is a wonderful piece of brewing history! I believe this is from the 1920’s. Blatz was a brewery in Milwaukee Wisconsin from 1851-1959, and it was the bought by Pabst. This is a double-sided box, as the script is on both the inside and outside. However; at some very unfortunate period, somebody painted the outside of it. You can see the minor depression where the script is supposed to be, so I am very faithful that THIS CAN BE SAVED! Or, you could just pop the lid on it and admire it that way…I just think this box needs to live on! There is some rotting of the wood on the bottom of it. The hinges and “clasp” work well. This is a delightful box, and I hope that someone loves it as much as I do!
